Cindy Hawkes

Cindy Hawkes’s works spark joy and bring creative energy into any space. Her desire to use texture and experimental color is apparent in her vivid landscapes, figures, and florals! She grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, surrounded by the arts, which fostered her early love of creative expression. After earning degrees from Auburn University and the University of Memphis, she began a career in Speech Pathology, though creativity remained a constant presence in her life. While raising her family in Greensboro, North Carolina, she transitioned into the local arts scene and ultimately discovered her passion for painting. Today, she spends much of her time in her studio, using paint to capture nature, emotion, and life experiences, and finds great joy in sharing her work with others.
